1. Information We Collect
Account Information
If you create an account, we collect your email address via our authentication provider (Supabase). We may also collect your name if you choose to provide it.
Uploaded Documents and Images
When you use our quote checking service, you may upload photographs or files of repair quotes and invoices. We process these to extract structured data including garage name and address, vehicle details, repair descriptions, labour hours, parts descriptions, and costs.
Image retention: Uploaded images are retained for 30 days from upload, after which they are deleted from our systems. The structured data extracted from your document is retained as part of your account history for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion.
Vehicle Information
We collect vehicle details you provide or that are extracted from uploaded documents, including registration plate, make, model, and year. Where you use our registration lookup feature, we query the DVLA vehicle enquiry service to retrieve vehicle details associated with a registration plate.
Payment Information
If you purchase a paid plan or credits, your payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details. We retain records of transactions including amounts, dates, and the last four digits of any card used, for accounting and fraud prevention purposes.
Usage Data
We collect data about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and technical information such as browser type, device type, and IP address. This data is used to improve the Service and is collected via analytics tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- —Provide the Service — process uploaded quotes, generate assessment reports, and deliver results to you
- —Maintain your account — store your quote history, credits, and subscription status
- —Improve our benchmark data — we use anonymised, aggregated data derived from processed quotes to maintain and improve our pricing benchmarks. This data is stripped of all personal identifiers before use and cannot be used to identify you, your vehicle, or the specific garage in your quote
- —Operate the garage registry — we maintain an aggregated, anonymised registry of garage pricing patterns. Individual report data is never linked back to garages in a way that could expose your personal data
- —Process payments — manage subscriptions, credit balances, and billing
- —Communicate with you — send transaction confirmations, report notifications, and where you have opted in, product updates
- —Comply with legal obligations — retain records as required by applicable law
